Sunday Sketches: Flower Designs

Here are some sketches I’ve done recently that have to do with floral motifs! I have rediscovered the joy of sketching and doodling just for fun. Maybe listen to some music, maybe just sit quietly by myself, maybe even sitting around waiting.

Do you like to doodle?

Pretty peonies and ranunculus sketches in a Moleskine

Here are some peonies and ranunculus in my teeny Moleskine sketchbook. I like to carry this around in my purse for times when I have to sit around. Then I have something to do. 🙂

For this one I had been listening to “Polly Come Home” by Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. They seem like they’d be a strange combo, but I really, really love that album (it’s called Raising Sand). It’s good and moody and they sing very well together.

We saw a bit of this sketch in my blizzard post…. 🙂 I’ve been doing a TON of these doodly type flowers. All over everything. Even on the newspaper. I will certainly be posting more of them, heheh, and their similar cousins.

Hope you enjoyed these sketches!
