Good morning! Well, it will be morning for 20 more minutes anyway. It’s getting cold here in South Dakota, at least for a former Californian. Since most of the artwork I’m doing these days I can’t really show here since it is for clients or licensing (at least not until officially released), I have decided to stop beating myself up for not having a whole bunch of finished paintings to share/sell like the old days and share sketches instead! This little kitty character I’ve been experimenting with to see what medium I should use:

I’m liking this colored pencil version a lot. Just something from the sketchbook. šŸ™‚ Of course I’ll share any finished paintings that do show up! But I wanted *something* to show here that would be fun in the meantime. I don’t want my little blog to be neglected, and I seriously have been beating myself up something awful because I can’t keep up with my old painting prolific-ness — simply because most of my art energy has been directed to art jobs rather than painting things to sell in my shop. It’s a change for this little studio, and I think I’ve only just now admitted that I can’t be Superwoman and keep up with everything I used to do in past years! I have decided on no more guilt over that, heh.
I’ve got two real life cats that are huddled around the heater here in my studio at present. My husband and I are getting very excited for Christmas, and it’s only mid-November, lol. Can’t help it, we are nerds. Soon I will have no choice but to break out Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I guess we must be excited because it will be our first Christmas together! šŸ˜€ I love married life.
